A Time of Thanksgiving

Wow! We are coming up on Thanksgiving next week and it has been a wild year. I started out the year on maternity leave. During that time I began journaling about my hopes and dreams. Knowing that Kai would be our last child, I shifted into thinking about my career and goal to own a dental practice one day. Little did I know just a few months later I would be approached about the opportunity to join Dr. Davis and become Mason Elite Dentistry.

I feel immense gratitude for so many dreams coming true this year. It has been a wild ride raising two young children, balancing home life, and navigating the ins/outs of purchasing a practice. At the end of the day, the most important part of life is the relationships you build. I'm thankful to begin building a relationship of trust with my patients, my staff and colleagues in the community.

I'm thankful that I get to serve others each day. Being a dentist is the best career I could have imagined for myself. I love to talk to people, work with my hands and be an artist. It is rewarding in that a person comes in with a cavity, broken tooth, or perhaps in pain, then I am able to immediately fix their problem. While there is some healing involved, I feel confident that patients leave my office in better shape then when they arrived.

I appreciate the opportunity to learn new workflows and expand on my knowledge. Dr. Davis has been a lifelong learner and leaned into the Spear ideology. In January I'm heading out to Scottsdale, Arizona again for a workshop on Facially Generated Treatment Planning. If you are a patient of ours, you may had some photos taken in different views. These photos are important to help us monitor gum position, tooth wear and shade changes over time. We are able to gather just another piece of information to make the best treatment plan. The training I'm doing will help us make a top notch plan that takes into account more than just an x-ray.

This season I hope you are able to lean into the relationships in your life and savor special time together. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need us over the holiday's. Even if we are not able to come into the office we can certainly have a Telehealth conversation to address any concerns. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for the opportunity to serve you and yours!
